Volcanoes National Park

Although not a primary location of work in Rwanda, Volcanoes National Park is an area where WCS has carried out biological surveys and capacity building activities with the Park's Ranger-Based Monitoring Program. Volcanoes National Park is also where George Schaller, Bill Weber and Amy Vedder conducted formative research on mountain gorilla behavior and developed the highly successful mountain gorilla tourism project.
